An Unpublished Letter to the Editor
Would new management at NZME allow this?
The following arrived in my inbox via an old friend.
The writer is well known retired Auckland eye surgeon, conservative thinker and cricket fan Dr Hylton Le Grice.
He submitted it to his local paper, the New Zealand Herald, whose management and editor decided it was not worthy of publication.
This is yet another reason why a boardroom takeover and change of editorial direction is desperately needed at Herald owner NZME.
While there may be issues with Dr Le Grice’s grammar and sentence construction, isn’t his basic thesis worthy of a discussion?
I’m especially intrigued by his claim regarding “96 statutes which favour Maori over our 159 other ethnicities.”
Democracy threatened
Leader of the Te Pati Māori party, Rawhiri Waititi, says he is not a fan of democracy. Former Judge, Anthony Wily responds saying a devious coup is already in progress to dismantle NZ’s democracy, replacing it with tribalism to become one of the most racist countries in the free world. Similar to South Africa with its anti-white policies that has crippled that nation. Already in NZ we have 96 statutes which favour Māori over our other 159 ethnicities. Prof. Elizabeth Rata confirms a racial tribal based dictatorship is replacing our democracy. With two highly respected legal minds warning of the huge changes already underway in NZ it is time we became acutely aware of this and activated a quick end to such a tragedy.

Excellent letter. Judging by the comments of nearly everyone I know, I believe most New Zealanders would agree with it.
Along with the loss of democracy, as a former school teacher of many decades ago, I am horrified at our children's loss of their childhood years whereby narrow-minded zealots are forcing their weird theories onto young minds regardless of the harm they are doing.
Every time I hear a current news item I am reminded of two lines by the poet, Alexander Pope;
"Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive".
Excellent letter that states the current apartheid takeover simply and accurately.
Thank for publishing it, Peter.
