I've never joined Facebook, largely because I get as much information as I can handle through other sources, especially personal contacts in the health issues campaigning area. But I've also felt instinctively that something dreamed up by extremely rich men in order to get even richer (I was going to say "obscenely" rich men but I'll restrain myself!) just had to be suspect.

But then I don't stick my nose in a phone everywhere I go. You do see more of the real world that way - and talk to more people face to face.

Good to see Peter Williams questioning something that seems to have become another obsession in society.

This ad came thru fb to me…so I looked because I despise Bloomfield and originally thought what’s Peter Williams doing even speaking to this monster! Quickly realised it was AI, Russell Crowe has never been that handsome. I have been caught a few times with fake sites so only ever use PayPal to purchase on line, money back so quickly. If your friend used PayPal they will refund him. Also Google the item on Trust pilot, usually will come up with genuine comments. But yes need to be cautious on line 😪

That's not how the internet works. Facebook is a tool. You may as well say you don't trust a hammer manufacturer because somebody smashed your car with a hammer made by them. If Facebook was small enough that each item of content could be monitored, they would be too small to be useful.

I thought your 'credibility problem' was going to be political bias in their fact checking process. That's a serious issue and I would love to see someone analyse the full extent of it.

The content was monitored, and anything with a combination of trigger words was deleted without human intervention. Multiple violations by the same account put you in “facebook jail” for days or weeks. Had FaKebook just said we do not want this content on our platform, fine. Their platform, their rules. But they claimed the “podium of truth.”. Subsequently they confessed they just deleted anything the Biden administration told them to.

The amount of false advertising is totally annoying

Order 1, get 5. First red flag. Try to cancel the order, can't. Second red flag. Hoping to recover your money under a money-back guarantee? He won't even have an address to send the goods back to, and this will be in China. Unless protected by Paypal or similar, his money is gone. Let's hope the product works, hahahahaha.

Where there's money there's corruption

I think you should write to FB, if they do not know of the fake PW, they can not fix it. That said, I closed my FaKebook account due to the “fact checking” claims FaKebook made. I do not wish to add to their revenue opportunities.
