Peter, don’t you think you are being a little harsh on wanting this overpaid, underworked, woke Judge to comply with judicial norms ?
After all this case involves the epitome of the Maori Mafia.
Shaking down - on a daily basis , our power companies, farmers, councils and everyday sundry businesses , plus they pay no, or little tax thus the rapid growth in assets.
Our Maori Iwi’s make the New York mafia look like rank amateurs !
Imagine being a group of NZ citizens, a group who realises that they can claim enormous sums of money from their fellow citizens via the Govt and Judiciary, and then even from private companies.
Incredibly, the ability to behave in this way relates to a distant connection with a part of the group’s ancestry.
It is quite extraordinary and yet, here we are today with such a group, in this case called Ngai Tahu, who are probably achieving more than they might have thought possible…because it has been allowed and condoned.
The endpoint is when a large group of pure-blood Maori (oops) gather to waiata off the last ship carrying all New Zealanders with European ancestry as it sails away. Or civil war.
Most Kiwi’s think they know what taxes they pay, but I doubt they consider the Ngai Tahu tax. You know, the one that is hidden in your power bill, or in your rate account for RMA liaison…..sigh😢
The corruption surrounding the rapid rise of this powerful corporate is no doubt far-reaching. How else have they achieved so much so fast? It is no surprise they were awarded the Molesworth gem. After all, we have a part-maori activist as Minister of Conservation. The outcome was always predictable. Lets see how much of it gets smothered in wind and solar 'farms'.
I was at a political rally listening to Shane Jones this weekend. He was adamant in stating water is free and maori had NO claim to it. Yet here we are, with government part-owned electricity companies handing over multi-millions of tax-payer dollars to these extortionists.
You can say and think that but he and Peters are the only ones calling out this extortion.
Maybe it is just electioneering and if that is true we are truly screwed by this brown mafia.
If not, then we have at last someone who is prepared to stand up to these extortionists and work to stop them from crippling our economy and export sectors.
Yes, I tend to agree. I was convinced he is sincere in his belief that we are one NZ. We must remember, constantly, that the media do not want him seen as a unifying voice. One thing he said resonated in particular. He comes from Kaitaia, one of 17 children. His grandmother, born in the late 19th C, used to tell him how elderly maori who were alive during the Treaty signing, abd whon she knew, recognised and understood the importance and relevance of Article One, which deals with the CEDING of sovereignty. This is how the elders of the early 20th C regarded it.
I like your conclusions. They really are our only hope left. A NZ First/Act lead government in November I mean. Yes, they have their flaws but cannot be any worse than it is right now?
They make lots of noise but NZF never really follows up. ACT actually has tried to stop the Iwi grift (eg Seymour’s TPB). Peter’s has had plenty of opportunity but when has he done anything? He’s also had his own wee gig running with the racing industry.
At the heart of it all are ToW 'principles'. The Treaty cannot be erased - ever. But it cannot also be misunderstood or abused. Defining the principles has to be the priority.
100%. The legislation re ToW put in place by Labour in the '70s has had a devastating effect on our unity. Successive governments so-called L and R have merely entrenched this disunity. There are bigger things at play here, than the smoke and mirrors Treaty disputes/settlements.
Foregone conclusion given the state of current legal industry in NZ. If it goes to higher courts given the state of thinking “on the ground” in NZ it will be overturned.
The eternal squabbling amongst the nations Iwi is definitely on the nose in the broader electorate. It could be some time before this filters through though. Might be 5-10 years unless of course we have another catastrophic disaster or more economic decline.
Thank you Peter right on the button.QUESTION How much more of this Maori Bullshit, lies and Gutless Government do we take????? Have we all lost any sence of honesty, truthfullness ,and human intergrity ,it would appear so..
Its time to say enough stand up and if necessary FIGHT YES FIGHt Any way you like i have had a guts full.
Nice one Peter. Ngai Tahu Mafia at it again. Kiwis seem to be happy to let these greedy grifters fleece us ad infinitum, for we hear so few howls of outrage. Well overdue for Iwi to be treated just like any other club across the motu. They’re no more special than the tramping club & should have no greater voice.

Welcome to the New Zimbabwe of the South Pacific.
Agree with you John. Critical thinking is no longer part of NZer's psyche or capability. We need to redress the tax system for Maori Mafia. lol..
It’s like letting the fox be in charge of the Hen House!
Our spineless successive govts letting these thugs getting away with bankrupting our country.
If this continues these iwi will claim everything and hold everyone to ransom.

So who is to blame, them or our officials?
And, is there an end point? If so, when?
I believe in compensation for Takings Courts deemed unlawful.
But we, the taxpayers were conned.
The 1990s National Party’s Billion $ fiscal envelope was supposedly full and final compo for what I took as unfair Takings.
Like it should have been the end of grievance.
But it seemed to encourage modern day Takings from current and future taxpayers, ratepayers and consumers.
Now the Left say even more cash needs fed into Marae. It’s as if the current amount, I gather is over $100m, hasn’t satiated demand.
Who is at fault?
Governments
who love to bid ever higher for political favour, that’s who.

Jones is nothing less than a bullshitting, bloviating buffoon.
As with Peters you cannot believe a word he says.
You can say and think that but he and Peters are the only ones calling out this extortion.

Simple answer Peter.
The Judge is waiting for the Election and is expecting a change of Government to one which will find her decision aligned to its thinking.
Ngai Tahu get their super grifters badge, coupled with their elite racist cape. Not bad for a bunch of north island savages.
Thank you Peter for putting this very important matter out for debate. We must resolve to oppose these arrogant rapacious people.
Wonderful exposé thank you, Peter. Sharing widely.
God what's next will have to pay a fee it you have rain water collection tank or to swim in a river

Hmm… we had a good chance to do that and Peters did not support it at all. Nor did Luxflakes.
Paul Goldsmith…. where are you?
Worse than useless. He has no spine. That's why he was chosen.
She'll be hanging out for a change in gummint. Her Ngai-Tahu-centric decision will land a lot softer under a Labour/Green/TPM/TOP regime

The $100m in 2024 needs to be addressed. Who made that decision that a govt owned body should pay it.?
It is a fraud, it should be claimed back by taxpayers forthwith.
The iwi with 8000 cows should be fined for polluting the river too.
